The rules of the underworld. Plain English, no lawyer fog. By making an account or using https://ravarkon.com you agree to these terms.
1 — Be a human, not a menace
No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or spam. No content that is illegal in the United States or your own jurisdiction. Ban evasion gets the ban extended. We keep the fires warm, not toxic.
2 — Your account
One account per person unless the admin says otherwise. You are responsible for everything posted from your account — keep your password to yourself. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting the admin.
3 — Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting to the local feed, walls, groups or pages you grant https://ravarkon.com the right to display it on this site. Content you publish to the Fediverse is also delivered to other independent servers under their own rules — once federated, it can be copied by remote servers and we cannot fully retract it from them.
4 — Fediverse access
Fediverse features (following remote accounts, federated posting, remote profiles) are a privilege granted per account by the admin, not an entitlement. The admin may enable or disable Fediverse access for any account at any time. Local social features remain available even when Fediverse access is disabled.
5 — Chat & calls
Chat and audio/video calls are for real conversations between real people. Recording calls without the consent of everyone on the call is not allowed. Calls are peer-to-peer (WebRTC); we relay only connection handshakes, not your media. Chat history is stored on this server and visible to the site admin where required by moderation or law.
6 — Privacy
We store what you explicitly give us: email, password (bcrypt-hashed), profile fields, your posts, messages and license/API telemetry you choose to send. We do not sell your data. Server logs and audit logs are kept for security and pruning hygiene. Questions: contact the admin.
7 — Services & licenses
Paid features (license keys, API access) are provided as-is with the seat and machine limits shown on your license dashboard. Abuse of license endpoints (key sharing, fingerprint spoofing) voids the key without refund.
8 — Changes
These terms may be updated as the site grows. Big changes get announced on the blog or the shoutbox. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
